Hampshire Baseball Edges Pittsfield in Quarter-Finals

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Hampshire Regional baseball team Monday scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to earn a 9-8 win over Pittsfield in the Western Massachusetts Class B quarter-finals.
 
Liam Pond went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Jacob Sicard doubled in a run in the winning rally.
 
Cam Sime led Pittsfield at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
 
Jake Duquette and Santino Arienti also doubled.
 
Sime went five innings on the mound, striking out 10.
