Warriar Gem Propels Pittsfield Past Mount Everettt

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Roshan Warriar struck out four in a complete game victory for the Pittsfield baseball team on Senior Day at Buddy Pellerin Field on Saturday.
 
Warriar allowed just two hits and one walk in a 3-0 win over Mount Everett.
 
The Generals did all their damage on offense in the fifth inning.
 
Jack Abel and Ben Jacob got things going with back-to-back singles to start the inning.
 
After Mount Everett reliever Michael Ullrich got a groundball out, Warriar singled to center to drive in Abel.
 
Morrie Fried then doubled to right to drive in Jacob and Warriar.
 
Fried finished 2-for-2 on the day in a six-hit attack for Pittsfield.
 
Matt Lowe and Ian Lanoue each had a hit for the Eagles.
 
Sean Warren started on the mound for Mount Everett, going four innings and allowing two hits and no runs.
 
The Eagles (7-7) host Housatonic Valley Regional of Connecticut on Monday.
 
Pittsfield (11-5) goes to Hopkins Academy on Tuesday.
