Codey Leads Generals Past Bombers
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Jason Codey went the distance on the mound and Morrie Fried hit a two-run home run in the top of the first as the Pittsfield baseball team beat Westfield, 6-3, on Wednesday.
“Jay Codey was dominant today,” Pittsfield coach Drew Pearce said. “He had a no-hitter through six innings and was able to close a tough team out with a complete game.”
Codey struck out six, walked two and allowed four hits to earn the win.
Jack Abel went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a seven-hit attack for the Generals.
Pittsfield (12-2) hosts Taconic on Thursday.
