Agawam Baseball Team Erases Early Pittsfield Lead in Home Win

AGAWAM, Mass. – The Agawam baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a two-run lead en route to an 8-2 win over Pittsfield on Monday afternoon.
 
Will Kinne doubled and drove in a run for the Generals, who took leads of 1-0 and 2-1 before Agawam’s Mason Bascomb was able to close the door.
 
Connor Lavinio, Jack Wildgoose and Collin Merwin split time on the mound for the Generals, allowing six earned runs.
 
Pittsfield (0-1) goes to Chicopee Comp on Friday.
