Pope Francis Baseball Tops Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Pope Francis baseball team Tuesday exploded for 11 runs in the top of the sixth to earn a 13-2, six-inning win over Pittsfield.
 
The Generals were tied, 2-2, after scoring a run in the bottom of the third, and that is where it stayed until the wheels came off late.
 
Cam Sime went 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run for the Generals, who got a pair of RBIs from Jake Duquette.
 
Ben Cornish went 5-? innings on the mound before giving the ball to Brayden Gutzmer.
 
Pittsfield (5-3) hosts Minnechaug on Thursday.
