Shepardson, Millionaires Top McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Max Shepardson struck out eight in a complete-game effort Saturday as the Lenox baseball team won its third straight, beating McCann Tech, 4-1, at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Shepardson scattered six hits and walked two in improving his record to 3-1 this spring.
 
He also helped his cause with a single and scored a run in a four-hit attack for the Millionaires.
 
Zack Nicotra, Brady DiGrigoli and Tyler Giardina each drove in a run for Lenox, which led, 4-0, midway through the fifth.
 
Jesse Brazee drove in a run for McCann Tech in the bottom of the fifth.
 
He finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate. McCann Tech’s Dylan Turner was 2-for-3 with a double.
 
Austin Buda and Turner split time on the hill for the Hornets, combining to allow three earned runs while striking out six.
 
McCann Tech (6-3) completes a home-and-home against Lenox when it travels to War Memorial Field on Tuesday.
 
The Millionaires (5-2) first host Franklin Tech on Monday.
