NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – With its back to the wall on Wednesday afternoon, the Lenox baseball team came through.

Luca Traversa doubled home a pair of runs in the top of the sixth to erase a 4-3 deficit, and the Millionaires went on to a 5-4 win over McCann Tech at Joe Wolfe Field.

The victory allowed Lenox to bounce back from a loss in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts tournament and gave the Millionaires 10 wins in their final regular season game.

Max Shepardson went the distance on the mound, striking out six.

Cliff Flynn went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Traversa and Michael Ward each had two hits in Lenox’s 10-hit attack.

Ozzie Weber went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for McCann Tech, which got a pair of hits from Josh Livsey.

Livsey split time on the mound with Collin Booth, combining to strike out six.

McCann Tech (10-8) and Lenox (10-10) both wait to see who they will play in the first round of next week’s state tournament.
