MONSON, Mass. -- The Monson boys lacrosse team outscored McCann Tech 10-1 in the second half on Wednesday to earn a 12-5 win.

“We had our first lead of the season,” McCann coach Paul Lange said, referring to the Hornets’ 4-2 half-time advantage. “We were playing really well. We’re getting better every game, and that’s great to see.

“They came out strong in the third quarter and kind of killed some of our momentum.”

Nick Lincoln scored four goals for the first-year McCann program. Corey Hartley scored a goal, Mike Moreno had an assist, and Jake Tower stopped 14 shots.

McCann (0-5) travels to face Chicopee Comp on Friday.
