AGAWAM, Mass. -- Matthew emke and Tytus Maen scored two goals apiece, and the Agawam boys lacrosse team scored five goals in the fourth quarter to earn an 8-4 win over Wahconah on Tuesday afternoon.

Dart Jaggi and Connor Washburn scored a pair of goals apiece, and Vinny Orlandi stopped 13 shots for Wahconah (0-1).

“Faceoffs were the difference,” Wahconah coach Zachary Sondrini said. “We didn't win a single faceoff or ground ball from the wing. Matthew lemke on Agawam was a great faceoffs guy.

“It was Wahconahs first time on an actual field, but I think we did a great job competing. Sometimes it's hard to know what you need to spend more time on, but now we have a perfect idea. We knew that these things were going to be an issue, but they're tough to fix inside a gym or on concrete.”

Wahconah goes to Belchertown on Friday.
