Pope Francis Boys Lax Tops Monument

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Cam Peritz and Zach Steigmeyer each scored five goals to lead Pope Francis to a 16-5 win over Monument Mountain in independent boys lacrosse action on Thursday.

Jake Parkinson and Connor Parkinson each scored twice for the Spartans, who got a goal from Matt DaSilva.

Jonah Swotes stopped 18 shots for Monument (2-1), which hosts Wahconah on Monday.
