Mount Greylock Boys Lax Pulls Away from Pittsfield in Second Half

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Patrick Storie scored five goals, and Sean McCormack and Thomas Astle each had a hat trick for the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team in a 15-2 win over Pittsfield on Thursday.

The Mounties (11-0) led by just three goals at half-time as Pittsfield managed to hold the visitors to a 4-1 lead.

But Mount Greylock exploded for six goals in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Reilly Parker scored a pair, and Cal Filson made 11 saves to earn the win in goal.

Pittsfield’s Nikolai Pixley stopped nine shots, and Ryan Jacoby and Cam Giardina each scored a goal.

PHS (4-5) travels to Great Barrington to face Monument Mountain on Monday.

Mount Greylock hosts Wahconah on Monday.
