Williamson Leads Pittsfield Girls Lacrosse to One-Goal Win

LEE, Mass. -- Leighana Williamson scored five goals Thursday to lead the Pittsfield girls lacrosse team to a 9-8 win over Lee.
 
Sydney Hover scored twice, and Hannah Kickery stopped eight shots to earn the win in goal.
 
The Wildcats took a 6-2 lead in the first half, but the Generals battled back in the third quarter. Pittsfield scored with 4:42 left to take a two-goal lead, but Lee scored about a half minute later to get within one.
 
But the Wildcats could not find the net again and suffered its second one-goal loss in as many days.
 
Tabor Paul scored four goals to lead Lee's offense. Abbey Boyd scored a goal and set up two more.
 
Elenor Kropke and Daylonna Deane combined to stop six shots for the Wildcats.
 
Lee (0-3) goes to Wahconah on Monday.
 
Pittsfield (2-2) hosts Wahconah on Wednesday.
