AMHERST, Mass. – Emma Meczywor scored four goals Monday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 13-7 win over Amherst-Pelham.

Lauren Davis and Karyssa Charon each had a hat trick. Ashlyn Lesure scored twice and assisted on two more, and Jacinta Felix rounded out the scoring with a goal and two assists.

“Overall a great team win,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “We came out and won the majority of the draws with Karyssa Charon, Emma Meczywor and Ashlyn Lesure on the circle, and we used that momentum to press offensively. Lauren Davis continues to see the field well as we move in transition. Our ground game improves every game and that helped in the second part of the second half.”

Kennedy Whitely stopped six shots to earn the win in goal.

Hoosac Valley (5-0) hosts Chicopee on Tuesday.
