CHESHIRE, Mass. – Kennedy Whitley made nine saves, including the 200th of her career, on Tuesday to backstop the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 17-7 win over Chicopee.

“She continues to improve every day,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said of the ninth-grader.

The Hurricanes’ offense was led by Lauren Davis, who had six goals and four assists. Emma Meczywor and Jacinta Felix each scored five goals, and Ashlyn Lesure finished with a goal and six assists.

“We moved the ball beautifully down the field and came out strong with a quick five goals,” West said. “Our off ball work was exceptional today with credit to Jazmin Gregory, Reagan Shea, Maryn Cappiello and Mallory Mazzeo.”

Hoosac Valley (13-3) finishes the regular season on Thursday at Wahconah.
