DALTON, Mass. -- Jacinta Felix scored in overtime Wednesday to give the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team a 12-11 win over Wahconah.

"We played really well," Hoosac Valley coach Molly West said. "We worked hard all over the field. I'm super proud of our grit."

Lauren Davis led the Hurricanes' offense with six goals. Ashlyn Lesure scored four, and Emma Meczywor finished with a goal and an assist.

"Kennedy Whitley, Hoosac's goalie, was the game changer," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "Kudos to her. She made 17 amazing saves. She denied so many opportunities."

Anna Doyle and Ava Massaro each found a way to score three goals for Wahconah, which was led by senior Anna Naef.

"Anna Naef played an amazing game and scored four goals transitioning from defense," Budaj said.

Olivia Roberts added a goal in the loss. Phalyn Renderer stopped seven shots.

Wahconah finishes the season 6-10.
