DALTON, Mass. -- Brittany Quinn and Emmy Cote each scored four goals to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 14-3 win over Pittsfield on opening day Wednesday.

“It was a total team effort from Katie [Bachlin] in goal to the defense through the midfield which all helped the offense click,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “It is nice to get a game under our belts.”

Bachli made six saves to pick up the win.

Jordan Budaj and Perin Genaway each scored a pair of goals.

Lauren Curry scored twice, and Jacey Salvie had a goal and an assist for the Generals (0-1), who travel to face Mount Greylock on Friday.
