Berkshire County Girls Lacrosse All-Star Game Held

DALTON, Mass. -- Mount Greylock’s Emma Polumbo scored nine goals and set up three more to lead the “Pink Ladies” to victory in Friday’s Berkshire County Girls Lacrosse All-Star Game.
 
“It was a great night for all of the girls to come together and enjoy playing with each other,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Overall, it was a good time and lots of fun.
 
“The passing was superb, and there were many outstanding plays throughout the game. Both goalies made some awesome saves.”
 
Wahconah’s Emmy Cote scored five goals with five assists, and Jordan Budaj (Wahconah) and Mikayla DeSantis (Lee) each had a hat trick in the win.
 
For the “Yellow Jackets,”  Mount Greylock’s Caroline Flynn had four goals and four assists, and Hoosac Valley’s Caludia Bressett scored three times.
 
Mount Greylock’s Julia Whitney made 14 saves for the Pink Ladies. Wahconah’s Katie Bachli stopped 11 shots for the Yellow Jackets.
 
The all-star rosters included:
 
Hoosac Valley: Alie Mendel, Chloe Martel, Skylar Case, Angelica Tanguay, Aubrey Rumbolt, Claudia Bresett.
Lee: Emma Hanley, Lauren Kinne, Mikayla DeSantis, Emma Bartini, Jodi Morawiec, Khali Zabian, Meryl Phair.
Mount Greylock: Emma Polumbo, Haley Reinhard, Julia Whitney, Karen McComish, Caroline Flynn, Gabby Orpin, Lauren Howard.
Pittsfield: Ali Williamson, Liz George, Mya Wiles, Lauren Curry, Jacey Salvie.
Wahconah: Briana Kasala, Emmy Cote, Jordan Budaj, Katie Bachli, McKenna McIlquham, Perin Genaway, Suzanne Stefanik.
