DALTON, Mass. – Emma Metcalf scored seven goals Friday to lead the Westfield girls lacrosse team to a 19-4 win over Wahconah.

Ava Massaro had a goal and an assist, and Eva Eberwein, Norah Esko and Dakota Casella each scored a goal for Wahconah.

“Today the girls  did a great job despite the score,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “They played with intensity and did a nice job on defense against a quality team.

“Everyone gave their best effort and we continually improved throughout the game. We scored one of the prettiest goals all season when Anna Naef found  Dakota Casella cutting through and she put it away.”

Phalyn Renderer stopped six shots in the loss.

Wahconah (4-3) hosts Granby on Tuesday.
