SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The South Hadley girls lacrosse team Tuesday defeated Wahconah, 17-4.

Olivia Roberts, Danielle Hagmaier, Mia Thomas and Brooke Harrington each scored a goal in the loss.

“Overall the score doesn't tell the story of how we played,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “The girls did a very nice job moving the ball on offense which led to more shots today. Our midfield transition is getting much better which helped create the offensive opportunities.”

Phalyn Renderer made 10 saves in Wahconah’s goal before Mya Lee took over, making one save.

Wahconah (0-7) hosts Northampton on Thursday.
