DALTON, Mass. – Makayla Fydenkevech scored four goals Monday to lead the Northampton girls lacrosse team to a 15-9 win at Wahconah.

“Tonight some of our mental errors hurt us,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We were forcing things on offense and turning over the ball, and they would go down and score.

“We played a much more composed second half and improved on our mistakes. Our defense buckled down and made some great caused turnovers against a very good team. Both goalies did a nice job for both teams.”

Phalyn Renderer made eight saves for Wahconah.

Brooke Harrington scored four goals, and Mia Thomas had two goals and three assists in the loss.

Wahconah (7-6) goes to Vermont to face Mount Anthony on Tuesday.
