Wahconah Girls Lacrosse Comeback Bid Falls Short
BENNINGTON, Vt. – Abbie Sekora and Aurora Rella-Neill each had a hat trick Tuesday to lead the Mount Anthony girls lacrosse team to a 13-10 win over Wahconah.
Brooke Harrington scored four goals, and Mia Thomas added three for Wahconah, which outscored the Patriots, 4-1, in the fourth quarter.
“The girls keep improving with every game,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Yes, today we lost, but last year we lost [to Mount Anthony], 13-1. Two tough games in a row and the girls fought hard and never gave up.
“We will continue to practice hard and focus on some areas that are needed. The girls are moving in the right direction.”
Phalyn Renderer stopped nine shots in the loss.
Wahconah (7-7) hosts Pittsfield on Thursday.
