Hagmaier Leads Wahconah in Road Win
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Danielle Hagmaier Friday scored six goals to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 14-6 win over South Hadley.
Brooke Harrington had a hat trick and set up a pair of goals, and Anna Doyle recorded five assists in the win.
Megan Tucker scored twice, and six different Wahconah players found the back of the net.
“Today it was great to see the contributions of many players,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We moved the ball, finding the open player. Our defense did a great job making some key stops.
“South Hadley did a great job causing us issues on our transition, which is something we will continue to work on.”
Mya Lee made three saves to earn the victory between the pipes.
Wahconah (2-0) is at Pope Francis on Tuesday.
