Doyle's 100th Point Highlights Wahconah Win
DALTON, Mass. – Anna Doyle became the latest Wahconah girls lacrosse player to record her 100th point, and her team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 10-5 win over Amherst on Thursday night.
Doyle scored two goals to reach the 100-point plateau, joining teammates Mia Thomas, Danielle Hagmaier and Brooke Harrington in reaching the milestone this spring.
“A much deserved honor for a young lady who never gives up,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said of Doyle. “She is determined and motivated, these two qualities have led to her success.”
Thomas had a hat trick, and Olivia Johnson and Megan Tucker each scored twice in Thursday’s win.
Mya Lee made six saves for Wahconah, which held the Hurricanes scoreless in the first half.
Wahconah (5-1) goes to Granby on Saturday.
