Northampton Girls Lacrosse Edges Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. –  Makayla Fydenkevez scored three goals Tuesday to lead the Northampton girls lacrosse team to a 6-5 win over Wahconah.

 

“Tonight was a battle of the defenses and ours played amazing, we just ended up on the wrong side of the win/loss column,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Mya [Lee, nine saves] did great in goal, and Chloe DiFazio was outstanding.

 

“A great loss for sure against a quality team.”

 

Mia Thomas scored twice, and Brooke Harrington, Danielle Hagmaier and Gianna Heilbroun each scored a goal in the loss.

 

Wahconah (13-2) goes to Mount Greylock on Thursday.
