Wahconah Advances to Western Mass Final
DALTON, Mass. – Danielle Hagmaier scored four goals Saturday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 17-6 win over South Hadley in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
Hagmaier made two assists to finish with six points, and 16 of Wahconah’s 17 goals went into the scorebook as assisted.
“Great game for the girls finding the cutters,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Some wonderful transitions that led to very nice goals.
“Mya [Lee] and the defense held strong.”
Lee made 11 saves to earn the win in goal.
Brooke Harrington and Anna Doyle each had a hat trick, and Gianna Heilbroun and Abigail Rodhouse each scored twice.
Wahconah (15-2) moves on to Tuesday’s regional final against the winner of Sunday’s game between Granby and Mount Greylock in Williamstown.
