Mount Greylock Rolls into Western Mass Final

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Sarah Polumbo scored six times, and Phoebe Hughes and Ainsley Abel added five apiece Tuesday as the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team beat Pope Francis, 18-6, in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C tournament.
 
The top-seeded Mounties (16-3) earned a third-game against second-seeded Granby, which defeated Hoosac Valley, 20-8, in Tuesday’s other semi-final.
 
In the regular season, Mount Greylock beat the Rams by scores of 21-10 and 22-8.
 
On Tuesday against Pope Francis, Lucy McWeeny and Tess Leveque each scored a goal, and Zoe Armet had a pair of assists.
 
Christy Rech and Tiegan Brady split time in goal, combining for five saves.
 
No date, time or location for the regional final game was available on Tuesday night.
