Slow Start Costly for Pittsfield Girls Lax in Home Loss

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Chicopee girls lacrosse team built a 6-0 lead in the first half and went on to a 12-4 win over Pittsfield on Friday afternoon.
 
The Generals came out strong to start the third quarter, getting two goals from Britain Sadowy and one from Brenna Bellefontaine to cut the deficit in half.
 
Ava Palmer later scored a goal for Pittsfield.
 
“We battled the entire game on a wet, sloppy field,” Pittsfield coach Kim Madden said. “We are looking forward to tomorrow’s match up with Granby.”
 
The Generals (0-3) travel to face the Rams in a 10:30 a.m. contest.
