GRANBY, Mass. – Brenna Moreno scored four goals Saturday to lead the Granby girls lacrosse team to an 11-6 win over Pittsfield.

The Rams got off to a hot start with a pair of goals in the first two minutes of the game and led by as many as six in the first quarter.

“Despite our habitual slow start, we managed to fight our way back into the game,” Pittsfield coach Kim Madden said. “By the third quarter it was 9-6. Our goaltending and strong defense kept the game close. But Granby scored the next two at the start of the fourth.

“I’m very pleased with our team effort today.”
