Ferris Leads Pittsfield Girls to First Win
SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Lily Ferris scored six goals Friday to lead the Pittsfield girls lacrosse team to a 12-0 win over Southwick.
Addie LaFerriere had a hat trick, and Asia Smith-Moody recorded a goal and an assist in the win.
“This was a fantastic team win and a great improvement from our first game,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “Our defensive unit/organization, anchored by LaNiyah [Gregory] and Adriana Saosti, was outstanding today and we moved the ball much better up the field. We continue to work on the little things every day to improve every day.”
Gregory made eight saves for the Generals, who outshot the Rams, 26-8.
Pittsfield (1-1) hosts Springfield Central on Monday.
