Kroboth, Ferris Excel in Pittsfield Win
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ella Kroboth and Lily Ferris Thursday each scored seven goals and each went over the 100-goal mark for their careers to lead the Pittsfield girls lacrosse team to a 17-4 win over Smith Vocational.
Pittsfield coach Molly West called the win the Generals’ best game of the spring.
“From the first draw, the girls were focused, unselfish and played smart,” West said. “Our three on the draw - Ella, Lilly and Addie - were phenomenal with a 73% success rate. Our draw coach, Bri Lancia, has worked tirelessly and it has had a profound impact these past few games.”
Addie LaFerriere scored a pair of goals, and Ruari MacDonald rounded out the scoring for the Generals.
LaNiyah Gregory stopped seven shots to earn the win in goal.
“LaNiyah made some fantastic saves and our defensive unit was key on ground balls and transitional play,” West said. “Asia Smith-Moody played an exceptional game defensively.”
Pittsfield (8-2) hosts Monson on Friday.
