Payson Leads Wahconah Softball in Win at Lee

LEE, Mass. -- Sydney Payson went 4-for-5 with a triple Tuesday to lead the Wahconah softball team in a 16-0 win over Lee.

 

Marlee Arnhold was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs batted in. And Sammie Kaley was 2-for-5 with a double in a 15-hit Wahconah attack.

 

Kaley also earned the complete-game, five-inning win in the circle, striking out seven and allowing one hit.

 

Hailey Hankey broke up the no-hitter for the Wildcats with a single in the bottom of the fourth.

 

Kayla Clark struck out five and allowed four earned runs in a complete-game effort for Lee, which finishes the regular season with a record of 2-14.

 

Wahconah (14-3) is on the road Wednesday at Franklin Tech.
