McCann Tech Downs Drury in Class C

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Avery Lane struck out nine, walked two and allowed one hit and no earned runs Wednesday as the McCann Tech softball team earned an 8-2 win over Drury in the Western Massachusetts Class C Quarter-Finals.

 

Paige Rochelo went 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs to lead McCann Tech’s offense, which also got a double from Ryleigh Rathbun.

 

Olivia Perry had the lone hit for the Blue Devils. She also went the distance in the circle, striking out five and allowing five earned runs.

 

Drury (16-3) will finish the regular season against an opponent to be announced.

 

Fourth-seeded McCann Tech (11-4) moves on to the regional semi-finals to face No. 1 Greenfield, a 21-0 winner over Springfield International Charter on Wednesday.
