Hornets Blank Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Mia Girard went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles Monday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 21-0 win over Drury.

 

Maggie Wohrle was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and scored four times at the top of the Hornets’ lineup.

 

Avery Lane and Shaylee Lawson each tripled, and Nora Kondel went 2-for-4 in a 15-hit attack for the Hornets, who sent 14 different hitters to the plate and got at least one hit from nine of them.

 

Lane went the distance in the circle, striking out nine and allowing just one hit in the five-inning win.

 

Emily Lyons had the lone hit for Drury (2-3), which hosts Pioneer Valley on Tuesday.

 

McCann Tech (4-0) is at Taconic on Friday.
