LeMire Hurls No-Hitter for McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – McCann Tech’s Emma LeMire Tuesday struck out 11 in a complete-game, six-inning, no-hit win over Mohawk Trail. 

 

LeMire walked just one hitter on the defensive side.

 

Offensively, she helped her own cause by going 3-for-4 with a triple and a pair of RBIs.

 

Avery Lane went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Ryleigh Rathbun and Shaylee Lason each doubled in a 15-hit attack. Maggie Wohrle contributed a triple and an RBI.

 

McCann Tech (9-0), the 10th-ranked team in Division 5 in the initial MIAA in-season power rankings released on Tuesday, will look to qualify for the state tournament on Friday when ti travels to Pioneer Valley.
