Pioneer Valley Hands McCann Tech Softball Its First Loss

NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Jacobia Tyminski led the Pioneer Valley softball team at the plate and in the circle in a 6-4 win over McCann Tech on Friday.
 
Tyminski went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in to lead the offense and went the distance in the circle, striking out two and walking none.
 
The Hornets did generate 11 hits. Aiden Champney led the McCann Tech offense, going 2-for-4 with a double. Maggie Wohrle and Ryleigh Rathbun each had a pair of hits.
 
Avery Lane and Emma LeMire split the innings in the circles, combining to strike out nine.
 
McCann Tech (9-1) is home on Saturday against Monument Mountain.
