Hopkins Academy Softball Tops McCann Tech

HADLEY, Mass. – Gabby Dyjach went 3-for-4 with a double Saturday to lead the Hopkins Academy softball team to an 11-6 win over McCann Tech.
 
Karlie Gregoire-Thomas went 3-for-4 with a double to lead the Hornets, who ran into trouble in the fifth inning, when Hopkins scored seven runs to take an 11-5 lead.
 
“I am so proud of these girls, McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said. “Best game we played yet. We are beginning to hit the ball better so we are going in the right direction.”
 
Hannah Tatro struck out three for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech (1-6) goes to Southwick on Tuesday.
