McCann Tech Takes Two One-Run Games Against Central

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Paige Meyette hit a one-out single to drive in the winning run as the McCann Tech softball team earned an 11-10 win over Springfield Central in the first game of a double header on Monday.
 
Kyrsten Gazaille-Adams started the winning rally with a leadoff single. Madison Clark then drove her home with a one-out triple to tie the game, and Meyette ended the game one inning later.
 
Meyette went 3-for-4, and Clark and Emma Moser each was 2-for-3 win the win. Emily Glasier went 3-for-4.
 
Nora Moser went 2-for-4 at the plate and earned the win in the circle, striking out six.
 
In the nightcap, Karlie Gregoire Thomas hit a two-run home run in a 5-4 win.
 
Glasier scored on an error off the bat of Hannah Tatro to score the go-head run in the top of the fifth.
 
Glasier went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored twice.
 
Tatro earned the win in the cirlce in Game 2, striking out four and walking none.
 
"Another great competitive game," McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said. "Kids stepped up today. Very happy with our progress."
 
McCann Tech (3-8) goes to Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
