Mount Everett Rallies to Eight-Inning Win

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Fiona Pollock scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth Monday to give the Mount Everett softball team an 11-10 win over Southwick.
 
The two-run winning rally started when Emily Gilmore reached on an error. Pollock followed by getting hit by a pitch. Kamari Pridgen and Izzy Dolgen then walked, bringing Gilmore home.
 
With one out, Pollock raced home on a pitch that got to the backstop to end the game.
 
Mount Everett used just seven hits to score their 11 runs. Josephine Waveris had two of those hits and scored two runs.
 
Ashelen Cutlip earned the win in the circle, going the distance and striking out seven while allowing seven earned runs.
 
Mount Everett (3-10) hosts Westfield Tech on Thursday.
