WESTFIELD, Mass. – Lexi Tomascak went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs Wednesday to help the Mount Everett softball team to a 23-10 win over St. Mary’s.

Aliyah Creamer went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Emma Goewey went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in a 15-hit Mount Everett attack.

"I have a pretty resilient group of girls with me this year," Mount Everett coach Josh King said. "We traveled to Holyoke on Tuesday, got back on a bus to Westfield for a 7 p.m. game with St. Mary's and these kids keep battling and hanging in there.

"We jumped up early in the second with eight runs and never looked back. We did make it interesting in the fifth and sixth by not making some plays but overall, I'm just proud of the team's effort and ability to get the job done."

Julia Devoti went the distance in the circle, allowing six earned runs while striking out five.

The Eagles (8-11) host Springfield Central on Friday in their regular season finale.

"We currently have one more on our regular season schedule with Central on Friday, and then we will see where the cards fall for states," King said. "Hopefully, we've done enough to qualify but won't know more until the weekend."
