Goddard, Thunder Blank Athol

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Cheyann Goddard struck out eight in a five-inning one-hitter Thursday as the Taconic softball team beat Athol, 13-0.

 

Goddard did not allow a walk in the victory, which started with a 10-run first inning for the Thunder.

 

Ella Stodden, Madi Barber and Toni Ahoussie each doubled in a seven-hit attack for Taconic. Kylie Duhamel and Abby Soto drove in three runs apiece.

 

Taconic (7-6) goes to Wahconah on Saturday.
