Shade, Pittsfield Softball Edge Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Natasha Shade went 3-for-4 Friday as the the Pittsfield softball team handed Hoosac Valley its first loss of the spring, 4-2.
 
Sarah McMahon had a two-run double in the Generals’ four-run third inning, when she, Shade, Madison Tobin and Brianna Clary each crossed the plate.
 
Tess Lyon made the 4-1 lead hold up and struck out five on the day for the complete-game win in the circle.
 
Katie Braman went 2-for-3 for Hoosac Valley, which got seven innings from Madi Puppolo.
 
The Hurricanes (4-1) will look to bounce back on Thursday when they host Wahconah.
 
Pittsfield (3-2) goes to Wahconah on Tuesday.
