Mount Greylock Tops Hoosac Valley

ADAMS, Mass. – Emma Newberry went 4-for-4 with a triple, a double and four runs batted in Saturday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 12-2 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Abby Whitley went 3-for-3, and Brodi Rosier was 2-for-5 with a triple. Malia Koffi and Kami Sweet each went 2-for-4 with a double.

 

Sweet also went the distance in the circle, striking out eight, walking three and scattering eight hits.

 

Hannah Lord, Gracelyn Wright and Izabela Tart each had two of those hits for the Hurricanes. 

 

Wright went seven in innings in the circle, allowing eight earned runs.

 

The Hurricanes (4-9) are at Ware on Monday.

 

Mount Greylock (8-3) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
