Wahconah Softball Blasts South Hadley

DALTON, Mass. – Sammie Kaley and Melaina Haczela each homered, and Julia McComish gave up one hit in the circle Friday to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 12-0 win over South Hadley.

 

Kaley went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks. Haczela was 2-for-3. Marlee Arnhold had a pair of doubles in a 13-hit attack for Wahconah.

 

McComish, in her first pitching appearance, struck out eight, walked none and allowed just the one hit with two out in the fifth and final inning. Wahconah catcher Kenadi Arnhold threw to Kaley to catch the runner stealing for the final out of the game.

 

Wahconah (7-1) goes to Turners Falls on Monday.
