Sweet Pitches Mounties Past Lee

LEE, Mass. – Kami Sweet struck out 13 and allowed no earned runs Friday as the Mount Greylock softball team wrapped up its regular season with an 11-1 win over Lee.
 
Sweet, Abby Whitley and A.J. Pelkey each went 3-for-4 in a 17-hit attack for the Mounties, who got a pair of hits from Cayleigh Kiernan and a double from Kate Shelsy.
 
Both teams will be home in the Division 5 State Tournament starting Monday.
 
No. 15 Lee hosts No. 18 Bourne on Monday.
 
Fifth-seeded Mount Greylock awaits the winner of Sunday’s game between Nashoba Valley Tech and Gateway Regional.
