Tenney, Spartan Softball Team Pound Putnam

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Alex Tenney went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles Monday to lead the Monument Mountain softball team to a season-opening, 22-1 win over Putnam in five innings.

 

Kaitlyn Fennelly was 3-for-4 with a double, and Olivia Netzer, Elee Hull and Jade Abderhalden each had a pair of hits in a 13-hit Spartan attack.

 

Meg Dupont struck out three and allowed just two hits to earn the win in the circle.

 

Monument Mountain (1-0) hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.
