Mounties' Sweet Earns Five-Inning No-Hitter

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Kami Sweet struck out nine in a five-inning no-hitter Monday as the Mount Greylock softball team beat Monument Mountain, 13-0.
 
Sweet allowed just one walk in the win.
 
Emma Newberry hammered two home runs, and Madi Barber homered in a 16-hit attack for Mount Greylock.
 
Mia Filiault went 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Brodie Rosier doubled.
 
Lilly Osaki walked to provide the Spartans their only baserunner.
 
Monument Mountain (10-4) hosts Smith Vocational on Wednesday.
 
Mount Greylock (9-3) is at Drury on Tuesday.
