Hampshire Softball Downs Pittsfield

WESTHAMPTON, Mass. – Ryanne Dubay struck out seven and allowed two earned runs in a complete-game effort in the circle Monday to lead the Hampshire Regional softball team to a 9-3 win over Pittsfield.

 

Hampshire’s offense did its damage in the middle innings, scoring two in the third, three in the fourth and three more in the fifth to build a 9-2 lead, taking advantage of seven Pittsfield errors to score six unearned runs against Ava McMahon (four strikeouts, two walks).

 

Paxton Ebling led PIttsfield’s offense, going 3-for-4 with a double. Ella Bassi was 2-for-3 at the plate, and Sadie Aitken doubled for the Generals.

 

Pittsfield (6-8) is at South Hadley on Tuesday.
