Taconic Rallies Late to Top Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kylie Duhamel went 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs Saturday to lead the Taconic softball team to an 8-2 win over Pittsfield.
 
The Thunder took the lead with a four-run fifth inning and went on to add runs in the sixth and seventh after falling behind early.
 
Rylee Coleman and Ella Stodden each singled to start the fifth-inning rally. Duhamel then doubled to center field to drive in Coleman and tie the game, 1-1.
 
With one out Gi’Annah Moses tripled to left field to drive in a pair of runs.
 
Jianna Kruger’s RBI groundout then made it 4-1, Thunder.
 
Stodden went 2-for-4 with a double, and Madi Barber was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
 
Abby Bliss earned the win in the circle, striking out three.
 
For the Generals, Ava McMahon struck out 11 in a complete-game effort.
 
Gionnah Levardi led Pittsfield offensively, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Amelia Polidoro doubled in the loss.
 
The Generals (0-2) are at Westfield on Monday.
 
Taconic (2-0) go to Lenox on Monday.
