CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Only the rain could stop the Pittsfield offense on Tuesday.

Mia Alfonso went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double, and Paxton Ebling homered as Pittsfield downed Chicopee Comp, 23-0.

The coaches agreed to end the game in the third inning with due to rain, but not before the Generals garnered 15 hits.

Julia Johansen earned the "complete game" win with two innings of work in the circle, striking out two and allowing no hits.

"Jules was hitting her spots, and our lineup was all over their pitching," Pittsfield coach Jim Clary said.

"Jordynn [Bazinet] hit one off the fence, and Paxton hit a three-run dinger."

Bazinet went 2-for-3 with that double.

Pittsfield also got doubles from Natalie Arnhold and Sophia Santos. Johansen helped her cause by driving in three runs.

Pittsfield (4-4) goes to Longmeadow on Wednesday.
