Abderhalden, Wildcats Earn Road Win
MONSON, Mass. – Joey Abderhalden scored 21 points Monday to lead the Lee boys basketball team to a 61-57 win over Monson.
Abderhalden scored seven points in the fourth quarter, when the Wildcats got 3-pointers from Mitchell Keenan and Jacob Cooper en route to outscoring the Mustangs, 18-11, to come from behind for the win.
“We really needed this win tonight, and our kids stepped up and made the plays we needed to get it done,” Lee coach Dan Korte said. “It wasn’t always pretty, but we will certainly take it.”
Cooper scored 13 points, and Lucey finished with 10 in the win.
Lee (2-4) is at Mount Greylock next Monday.
